Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in response for a significant and ongoing offensive against it by the US and Israel.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area near the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any impact is unclear and the American officials has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house American military installations - stated they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their airspace.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was targeting US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.

That preceding assault - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck areas linked to the the regime, with US President Donald Trump calling on the Iranian people to rise up against the leadership.

Additional Developments

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military stated it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems responded to the projectiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a number of missiles," the statement continued.

The statement noted missile fragments landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
