I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
