Football Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions
The Gunners' ten-match victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland prior to the global hiatus, but can the English top division leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a range of special visitors.
In the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.
Murs' latest album, the new release, is available on Friday.
Soccer and Parenting Experiences
Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of several charity football games down the years - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a benefit match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."
Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.
"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their Saturday soccer team," he said.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our team for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their offense is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both back fit.
I still think this game will be fairly close, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
It smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
The singer's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
AI's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.
West Ham's sole away win this campaign came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was previously that team's coach.
So, what on earth do I go with here - can West Ham extending their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2
AI's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season started, but they have impressed a few people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four games.
A family member advised me to select Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.
They have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at home. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a danger.
The analyst's forecast: 2-1
The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it actually turns out to be rather tight. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.
Fulham have got lots of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.
Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.
Their performance in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The logical choice would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the close of last month.
But I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.
Looking at the home side's home record, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's side will be extremely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
Olly's choice: I know the visitors are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor streak... but they have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0

It is a tough one to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but might they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
